networking 300x200 Voice Over IP at Your House, Why Not?VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology that enables communication through Internet. Sound data is sent as digital code through packages, not through circuit as it’s done by analog telephone. In short, it means voices that are sent through Internet Protocol.

The main advantage of using VoIP is cost, especially when you call a friend or a relative that live far from your area. You will only need to pay the Internet fee which has become the part of your daily cost. Nowadays it’s hard to find a house without Internet connection; even our children love to use Internet every day.

Another benefit of using VoIP is you can send not only voice, but also text. The devices also grow and it became very popular among the people fast. Also, the bandwidth usage is lower than ordinary phone. It can also be combined with the existing phone network.

However, using voice over IP phones still have some limitations, especially time limitation, if the people you call don’t connect to the Internet 24/7. Also, the voice is sometimes not too clear as the result of small bandwidth usage. And, although the phone cost is cheaper, but the device is quite expensive and you have to change it into a new one.

If you often call friends, families, and relatives that live in remote area, migrating to VoIP is a best decision. It can help you increase the communication’s quantity among the family members. You don’t need to be afraid about the bill any longer.
