| Raw,
wet canvas drawn taut on wooden stretchers receives
willingly the onset of poured color. Released
on each canvas is a lifetime of imprisoned hope,
fear, anger, love, and joy. So seen by the naked
eye are the unrecognized conventions of form layered
with thick impasto or alternating to a veil of
washes. Thru the use of color and form, that which
is called “The inner need,” the soul
or the spirit is revealed thru unspoken language.
The viewer then translates with-out preconceived
appellation or recognized images pure expression.
It is this pure expression portrayed visually
on canvas which discloses the relentless need
and desire to release the “inner need”.
